My Brother’s Best Friend and I Are Telling My Dad My Brother Is on Heroin. Will My Brother Get Violent?

Question by Emma: My brother’s best friend and I are telling my dad my brother is on heroin. Will my brother get violent?
Tomorrow my brother’s best friend and I are telling my dad that my brother is on heroin. His best friend stopped hanging around him cause he was tired of watching him kill himself (it’s gotten really bad) and he considered telling my dad. So my mom, her boyfriend, my brother’s best friend, and I all sat down and talked about what we would do. We’re gonna have my mom take him out somewhere and then his friend is gonna come over and we’re gonna take my dad into my brother’s room and show him all the needles and drugs and tell him what’s been going on.

Is my brother going to get violent with me when he finds out? His friend won’t be there by the time my brother gets back, but I probably will. I know he will get mad at his friend and he’ll get mad at me, but what will he do once my dad isn’t around? Should I try and keep out of the house for a while?
My brother and I live with my dad. I’m 19. My brother’s friend and I have to be the people who tell my dad about it so he realizes how serious it is. My mom already tried telling my dad a while ago. My brother won’t be there when we tell my dad

you need to stay around an adult. If your parents know this is going to be happening they should stick around you. your brother should not be let back into the house and just ask your parents fro help. stay around them don’t be alone just in case.

thats a cover all

but honestly, i have friends addicted to heroin. they don’t get violent ever.
they are sad and pathetic. they laze around while on the drug and then they are horribly sick coming off it. they cant even function they feel so horrible. so I don’t think they could typically get violent.

just don’t be by yourself just in case

Hopefully your Dad will take him strait to inpatient rehab.
