I'm starting methadone treatment on sept 9 for my opiate addiction. I have tried suboxone and it didn't work for me. I have always been a heavy pot smoker and once I start treatment I am stopping with the pot. Was off methadone for 3 days?
Then 3 days later took another 1.5 mg subutex. Then 3 days later took 9 mg methadone. Been 2 days since the methadone. Have i set myself back to square 1 with all the drug swapping? I have heard that it can help with the withdrawals. I have about 6 mg methadone left and was going to take 1 mg every 3 days and then be done with it. Anyone have advice on whether this is a good or bad idea?
