I Am an Addict Detoxing From Oxycodone I Need Some Information PLEASE HELP IT HURTS?

Question by Elena Beers: I am an addict detoxing from oxycodone I need some information PLEASE HELP IT HURTS?
People tell me all the time, “Why don’t you just go to a Rehab? or “just go through the pain” Its not that easy. And I always leave the rehab because they don’t make me comfortable when the anxiety and restlessness start to occur. I really want to get off of these pills but I am doing it at home and I was fine taking suboxone and moderately taking xanax (I know I know I am an addict) for the restlessness and anxiety but I have been doing well; not over doing the xanax and only taking it when I start feeling restless, but what I need to know is when I get off the suboxone and take the xanax for restlessness when I stop the xanax will the restlessness still come back? Becuase I read up on RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) and medications for it. Most are narcotics and obviously opiods and benzodiazapines are two of them but on that site it says that opiods worsen the RLS yet it didn’t say that xanax did. Is there ANYONE out there that is going through or went through this that is willing to talk to me, give me an answer or even willing to give me a number so that I can call you to talk about it if you’ve ever gone through this? I am going to meetings but they are telling me to go to rehab when I know I just need to be comfortable through it and I can do it. Its just that Rehabs do not help you get comfortable and I have tried doing the rehab thing 4 times and I was so uncomfortable that I had to leave because they wouldn’t help me and of course I went and used just to feel better. I have been doing it at home and going strong. I haven’t done an oxy in 3 days and I go to the meetings for inspiration Im just worried about the restlessness when I get off the xanax. Does anyone know what I should do. THAT KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT> IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN ADDICTED TO OXYCODONE OR AREN”T AN ADDICT AND HAVEN’T GONE THROUGH THIS TYPE OF WITHDRAWAL PLEASE DONT TRY TO ANSWER MY QUESTION. I dont mean to be rude but it is something only an addict can understand.

I am an addict that is currently on a methadone program. I have tried detoxing on own many times and couldn’t deal with the pain. I especially had very bad RLS. If you get off subpoenaed slowly, I took that too, your RLS should subside and be gone, but I would keep taking Xanax for a few weeks after just to be sure. If you want someone to talk too email me at [email protected] and I can give you my number. I am a 28 year old female, straight.
