ive been on oxycodone 30mgs a day off and on for the past 2 months. i recently found out i was pregnant, i will be 8 weeks on friday the 23rd. i really want to quit bc i dont want to harm my baby or lose it, but ive done alot of research on this and all i can find is that oxycodone is considered safe during pregnancy but quitting cold turkey can cause a miscarriage. i need advice on how i can quit as soon and as safely as possible! some websites said doing a methadone treatment is safe and what most preg women do, but i rlly dont want to keep taking drugs, i just want to stop and never do them again but im so scared that by trying to save my baby i will actually end up losing it :'( should i try weeing off? like everyday slowly lower the dosage? or should i just take the chance of quitting cold turkey? i kno a baby feels withdrawal before the mother does and it breaks my heart. and i hate myself for being so stupid for even doing them in the first place. PLEASE no answers about me being a horrible mother! i already feel that way. just any POSITIVE advice PLEASE! also if i did do cold turkey would it be safer in eariler pregnancy since i havent been doing them that long or waiting unitll the baby is further along?
