“bu its been proved to work better than the 12 step groups and the like.”
Please provide evidence for this assumption.
Methadone is good for pregnant women trying to stop IV Heroin Use, what can lead to all sorts of contaminants entering the bloodstream and adversely effecting the fetus and Methadone is great for people that, basically, have to either go on it or continue activities that will result in their immediate death…
But in the long term, “maintenance” therapy does nothing but prolong the suffering of the Addicts.

I could be called that, depending on how someone treats you with it.
The best advice is to get involved in your own recovery. Talk to others about it, attend meetings regularly, if someone needs to get to a meeting but needs a ride, give them a ride. Occupy yourself with your recovery, this mental recovery is absolutely vital, and does wonders.

wow that’s alot of norco. doctors don’t reccomend more than 40mg per day. you might want to ask you doctor about the best way to go about this. it could kill you cold turkey. the best of luck to you.

Has Anyone in the Michigan/Indiana Area Seen Dr. Byung C. Rhee for Pain? Does He Prescribe Pain Meds?
Question by John: Has anyone in the Michigan/Indiana area seen Dr. Byung C. Rhee for pain? Does he prescribe pain meds?
I’m trying to locate a good Pain Doctor/Clinic. I missed the landing ramp on a dirt bike jump about 25 years ago and have had problems with back pain ever since.
I have seen a “Pain Specialist” who performed Facet Blocks and Epidurals using Steroids injected into my back, which were helpful for a few days on the Blocks and longer on the Epidurals; but they never put me in full relief to where I could sleep through a whole night. Being that I only have Medicare for Insurance, the benefit vs. the cost was far from being ‘Worth It.”
Is There a Way to Get REM Sleep With Severe Sleep Apnea & Narcolepsy/Cataplexy?
Question by Our Family Online: Is there a way to get REM Sleep with Severe Sleep Apnea & Narcolepsy/Cataplexy?
My husband has SEVERE Sleep Apnea and Narcolepsy. In his sleep studies, he wasn’t having any REM sleep at all until his third sleep machine – the VPAP. Now, he gets about 20 minutes of REM in a 5 1/2 hour night sleep and no REM during his naps. He sleeps 5 1/2 hours at night like clockwork, wakes up, takes his 3 Provigil, eats toast and 1/2 hour later can’t stay awake for anything. He’s out cold for 3 hours (with no REM). His daytime sleep test for Narcolepsy show that he falls asleep within the first 2 minutes of a “nap” and cannot stay awake in-between “naps”. It is dangerous. He has fallen asleep in the kitchen standing up and fallen completely over before – hitting his head on the granite counter and hitting the floor.
