We used to have all the hot, passionate sex just like everyone else, but now nothing. His mother does live with us, but even when shes at work and were both home, nothing. Also when she was gone for a couple days there was nothing still. Even after I tried to initiate it.
Now he just starting sleeping on the couch a couple nights a week. I just don’t get it. He is also on the medicine Methadone because of prior drug use. Do you think that has anything to do with it?

it is possible the medicine has effected his sex drive. But i doubt it has caused him to want to sleep on the couch. You should talk to him. Communication works best. You dont know till you ask

The methadone is probably your most likely answer, getting him off of it will be a major challenge. Even if he does quit your probably in for some trouble for quite a while afterwords. It is probably time to adult up, and tell him carefully how you love him and you think the methadone is messing stuff up and see where you can get. It will be very hard on your part to say it correctly in order to avoid a major fight and misunderstanding.
