Is long-term vaginal bleeding a side effect of taking methadone?

I suffer from Degenerative Disc Disease (Chronic Back Pain) and my pain management doc put me on Methadone so that I can function through my chronic pain. Ever since I have been on this med I have been having vaginal bleeding with really heavy clotting. My gynecologist feels that the Methadone is causing the long-term bleeding and I wanted to confirm that theory if at all possible.
